Otto von Osterreich is a beautiful coated 12 month old German Shepherd. He is a gentle soul, ending up in a crowded kill shelter was too much for him. Even an experienced rescuer didn’t really know what to make of Otto. He was just curled up in a corner and wouldn’t even lift his head. We knew immediately, the long haired ones are often more sensitive dogs with a milder temperament and it is just overwhelming for them. Today at the rescue Otto was a whole new boy; he decided that he was so in love with one of our volunteers, every move he made Otto was completely focused or in his lap if he could! Otto needs a nurturing and loving home; he will blossom and will be a happy and well adjusted family member. Otto is very good with other dogs of all sizes. A little white dog barked in his face and he jumped back. We are betting he is good with cats and will soon do a cat test. We are all in love with this gorgeous, gentle soul! The donation for him is $450, his buddy who arrived with him from the shelter Maureen has a broken leg, the donation will help cover Otto’s care and to help Maureen a little.
